Evaluation
During this
evaluation I am going to be explaining the different types of learning skills
which include visual learning, auditory learning and kinaesthetic learning. I
will be explaining what they are and how they work. I will also be explain
which one I prefer to use and which one is more effective towards my learning.
These techniques are used to learn new things
Visual learning is one of the main types of learning
and is preferred by many people. Some people think it is easier and more
effective to learn visually. When you
are being taught new information and you are a visual learner, it is easier for
you to learn and remember what has been said and taught if you have seen it
rather than if you have just heard it
Auditory learning is another type of learning style
and it’s when people learn from listening. When you are learning by listening
it’s important that the person needs to listen carefully to understand and to
get all of the information. When using this learning skill people use a
technique when they constantly repeat what they have heard in order to remember
it and actually learn it. I do not like learning this way as it’s hard to
remember all of the information no matter what it’s about. It also is a hard
learning skill out of all of them because it’s mainly about memory.
Kinaesthetic learning is when you learn physically rather
than listening or looking. Doing activities in order to understand them is what
people do who prefer to kinaesthetically. They are commonly known as do-ers as
not a high amount of people find this way useful. They find it easier than just
sitting around listening to information or watching demonstrations they would
understand more if they physically did it themselves.
When
developing my skills I used visual learning because I find it easier to
understand and comprehend when trying to learn something. However I also used
auditory because its more clear when something is explained as well as
demonstrated. It’s good to have a mixture of techniques because it makes
learning easier. I also used kinaesthetic learning by actually practicing things, but my favourite way to learn is visually as its easier for me.
www. M3 Kirsty, a good piece of work .You have shown an awareness of the way learning styles can aid personal development. You have also made some evaluative comments your preferred styles. Good work.
