Unit 43, Task 5 - P3
Unit 43, Task 5 – P3
When having
a source of media there is a few things that you will have to be aware of. This
is includes plagiarism, permission of the use of issues, and copy right.
Plagiarism is the practice of taking someone else's work or
ideas and passing them off as one's own. Plagiarism is illegal as it isn’t your
own, it commonly happens at school or in the work place, and can have severe
consequences. When making a media source you have to gain permission on the
images that you use if they have been created by someone else. Copy right is
the exclusive and assignable legal right, given to the originator for a fixed
number of years, to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary,
artistic, or musical material. Copy right is a way to make sure that the
creator of a media source gets the credit for their own work and no one else
can take it as their own, this is commonly used among celebrities and mostly
singers when it comes to their music.
YouTube uses copy right as there are millions of people who upload videos as it
is a public website.

Unit 43, Task 1 - P1
Unit 43, Task 1 – P1
I am going to produce a promotional guide on how to make a
cup of tea, and to make this it is going to have to include different types of
multi-media. There are different types of media used in different situations. This
includes Multimedia which regards sound, animation, still and moving Images. In my guide that I am going to produce it will
more than likely include animation, still and moving images, however it wouldn’t
be likely for me to use sound as it will be explained in text. In the creation of a product there also has
to be business requirements, this includes target audience, purpose and
platform. Target audience is what the product is made for, for example a
specific age group such as teenagers or elders. The purpose is what the product
is actually for. For example mine is for helping people how to learn how to
make the perfect cup of tea. When creating my guide it will be shown on
different platforms, meaning either a PC or a MAC, with mine it will be shown
on both because of the variety of multimedia that will be used. Another understanding that is required is
business objectives, this includes promotion and advertising e.g. Web pages,
digital posters, virtual tours and others.
The whole point of business objectives is to successfully promote the
product, for example promoting a product successfully would be making an advertisement
and receiving positive feedback about the specific product. Finally the product has to have an audience,
this is like the target audience but more specific and with more detail. Such as
gender, age, race, class and interests. With my product it has a more wide
range when it comes down to the audience as the gender, race and interests doesn’t
really affect my type of audience.
